Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are removable and corrective medical insoles designed to improve the foot’s alignment with the lower leg, and control its function. Custom orthotics can be prescribed by a chiropodist / foot care specialist at Active Foot Care Clinic and Orthotic Centre in Hamilton, and are ideal for use in treating and preventing injury causing motions such as excessive supination and pronation. Standing, walking and running also become more efficient, and foot and lower leg pain and ailments can be eliminated, with the use of our custom orthotics. Active Foot Care Clinic and Orthotic Centre also offers off-loading custom orthotics for the treatment of corns and calluses. After undergoing a full biomechanical assessment, gait and stance analysis, your custom orthotics are manufactured using three-dimensional impression casts of your feet. Based on factors such as activities, job environment and footwear, our custom orthotics are available in a variety of soft and hard materials, styles, designs, shapes and corrections to treat a number of ankle or foot ailments:
